She was the best teacher I've ever had, someone who taught not just Bible history but also life lessons. She was a blessing, and I look forward to meeting her again in Heaven.

May God bring comfort and peace to her family and all who loved her.

The Bennetts' hearts and home have always being open to anyone, especially the missionaries to Ukraine. We treasure our memories of spending time with Anne and her reaching the hearts of many orphan children in Odessa, Ukraine. She had a gift of caring and sharing God's love.

Please accept our deepest sympathy. I had the pleasure of being Anne's colleague at Niceville High School from 1970-1977. Anne was comfortable to be around, as well as being smart, funny, and sociable. She lived her Christian faith. Her husband and sons lit up her life. She set up a weekly "sewing circle" group that met after school at her house where English department teachers met and visited. There was never a dull moment with her. Knowing her was a pleasure. God bless her and her loved ones left behind to mourn her passing.

Mrs. Bennett was my favorite high school teacher. She opened my eyes to so much, and instilled in me a love of the humanities I've never lost. She was so kind returning for our reunions, and greeted us all as though we were her most special students.. I wonder if there will ever be another like her? What an inspiration for us all, and that is exactly what she would appreciate hearing us say. Heaven sure gained an angel.

Mrs. Bennett was one of my favorite teachers. Her teaching Bible history and humanities have given me a greater appreciation of both. She showed how to live a life that demonstrated a love for Jesus Christ.
I have seen her frequently since high school. While I am 60 I cannot call her Anne as it would not be giving her the respect she deserves. I am out of town this weekend and will not be able to make it.
Thank you Mrs. Bennett for encouraging me to better serve Jesus Christ.

What a wonderful person we have lost and the Lord pulled close. I loved the sweet and brilliant tribute, her story, and the fabulous photo of my great cousin Anne. I'm so sorry I never got to see her again after my dad, Keith Gillespie, died in April 2013. Dad was really fond of Anne - as was all the "Texas Gillespies." Love and prayers - Hal Gillespie and his wife Joann Donovan - in Dallas but with you in spirit.

Anne inspired me to become a writer and a teacher. Her humor, her passion, her magnetic way with words, and her love of young people were the gifts she shared with me and my classmates every darned day. Those same gifts were the ones I chose to share with my English high school students for 30 years. Anne made the world around her a much better place. I will always love her dearly.

Mrs. Bennett was one of my favorite teachers at Niceville. H.S. She made learning an adventure. She was firm, but fun, and taught all of us to love learning. She was strong in her faith and shared that with us also. The world will be an ordinary place again, but Heaven will be brighter with her. God bless you Mrs. Bennett. My sincere condolences to her family.

One of my most favorite teachers I've ever had! A positive influence on my life. I still talk about her to this day to my grown children and my husband. I saw her many years ago at the Golden Corral in FWB, and she still remembered my name! Rest In Peace Mrs Bennett, and know I just finished another Dickens novel 👊🏻With Love, Cheryl, class of 82

I want to send you my deepest sympathy. I know that even though you have a loss you still have some great memories. I hope those memories will give you comfort. I look forward to a promise in the Bible found at Revelation 21:4 where God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more.

Knowing Mrs. Bennett from the beginning of my life has been a blessing to me. Mr. Bennett, you and Anne were two of my parents favorite people. Of course, all my siblings loved you, Chip and Chris as if you were family members. I can remember how excited your Mom was that my children, Melissa and David would beg to see her slides. My goal is to whole heartedly love life, people and G-d as much as Mrs. Bennett did. We lost a beautiful light here on earth, but, heaven glows brighter now with her shining light. May your memories of her be a blessing for you. They surely are for me. I love you Mr. Bennett and Chip with my whole heart!
