Bobbie J Logan

Bobbie Jean Long Logan was born in Old Town, Mississippi on May 17, 1931 to Jessie and Annie Long. They greeted her in Heaven on Saturday, February 4, 2017; also greeting her in Heaven is her baby brother James Huey Long. She is survived by her husband, Charles Donald (Don) Logan, whom she wed April 1, 1951 with a love that was all consuming.

She was also survived by both of their children, Charles Michael Logan and Donna Ann Logan Welty (Jim) as well as their grandchildren Tiffany, Ashley, Katy Mykel (Sam) and Great Grandchildren Jordyn, Kira Mykel, Sophia, Lillian and Logan as well as Nate and Andrew.

She is also survived by her sisters, Carolyn Green and Lillian Knox (George) as well as her brother Rodney B. Long and their children Jennifer, Paul, Larry, Scott, Rodney Jr., Jamie and Merrie Katherine.

Bobbie moved to Fairborn, OH in 1960 with her husband and children, where both her children were raised. Don’s work moved them to FL in 1978 where they remained ‘til her death. Bobbie will be remembered by some for her “down-to-business” attitude that got her through life. She was the tax accountant and advisor for many from Generals to the every-day-poor person. She knew how to help them all. She founded and owned Logan’s Tax, begrudgingly retiring after she was 70 years old.

She will be remembered by some as a “Second Mom” who was there during family crisis with a level head.  She believed in the Democratic system, was a member of the League of Women Voters and a life-long Democrat. She was a member of the Bluewater Community Church of Niceville Florida.

Memorial Services will be held on February 19th, 2017 at Bluewater Community Church, 4580 Range Rd, Niceville, FL 32578 before regular Sunday Services beginning at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to her church at the same address.
