Lila M Gamble

Our beloved mom, granny is dancing in heaven with her sweet husband Gene and her Precious Jesus. Lila was born in Ben Hill County, Ga. on February 20, 1928. She passed on August 1, 2017 at her home in Niceville from complications of pneumonia.
Mom was pre deceased by her mother and father Charlie and Dale Sheffield and all of her siblings; Thelma Hooks, Bennis Sheffield, Martha Bradley and Ruth Pugh. Mom also lost her only son Don G. Gamble and her beloved husband of 65 years, Donald Eugene Gamble.
Lila worked tirelessly with Gene in every business venture he ever pursued from gas stations to hardware stores to sand company. Most of all she loved her Lord Jesus and her family.
Surviving family members are daughter; Lila Diane Gamble-Gordon (Buddy); Daughter-in-Law, Jane Gamble; Grandsons, Ryan McCowen, Christian McCowen, and Evan Gamble; Granddaughters, Megan Olynick (Sean), Aurora Hodgen; Great Granddaughters, Layla McCowen, Kaitlyn Olynick; Step Grandchildren, Ryan Gordon, Grady Gordon III; Step Great Grandchildren, Leighton Gordon, Addison Gordon, Sutton Gordon and Sawyer Gordon. Mom leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of church Family and friends. Mom had a lot of love to give and wanted to feed the world physically and spiritually.
The family will receive friends at a visitation on Thursday, August 3rd 2017 , from 6-8 p.m. at the McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home , Niceville, Fl. Funeral Services will be held at the Rosemont Baptist Church on Friday, August 4th at 10:00 a.m. Officiating at the services will be Associate Pastor Lee Dolohite and Dr. Sharber Smith. Following services burial will be in Sunset Cemetery, Valparaiso, Fl.
