Caroline Anne Cook, 75, died Wednesday, July 9, 2021, at her home in Niceville, FL surrounded by friends and family after a long, brave battle with breast cancer.
Caroline was born May 28, 1946, in Milwaukee, WI, daughter of the late Bert and Martha Moon. Caroline was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Barbara, Dixie, Suzanne, and Linda. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Edwin Gayle Nope, Sr. She is survived by one sister, Diana, and one brother Ernie. She is also survived by her two children by her second marriage, Amber and Jaramy Nope, and her husband, William H. Cook. She moved to Niceville FL in 1999 when she married her husband, William.
Caroline was a Vietnam-era veteran having served in the US Army, US Air Force, and the Illinois Air Force National Guard. She attended college in Champaign-Urbana Illinois where she earned her Licensed Practical Nurse license. She practiced nursing in Illinois, Utah, and Texas and became a licensed Massage Therapist in Ft Walton Beach, FL where she owned and operated Sacred Serenity Spa. She was ordained Priestess Hierophant in the Fellowship of Isis. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Niceville, FL.
Visitation will be Friday, July 16 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Palm Blvd in Niceville, followed by services at 12:00 PM. Bishop Gabe Steffani will officiate. Inurnment and a private service at Barrancas National Cemetery will be at a later date.
