Christine Smith

Christine Smith of Niceville, FL. Entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at her residence.  She was 91 years old.  She was the daughter of the late Franz Thum and Marie Klaushnitzer Thum, and born December 15, 1928 in Duchcov, Czechoslovakia.  She came to the United States in January 1955 and lived in Braintree for 35 years before moving to Niceville.  Christine was a resident of the Emerald Coast for 29 years and retired supervisor for Raytheon in Quincy, Massachusetts.  Christine is survived by her daughter, Linda C Hardy and husband Paul of Niceville; grandchildren Paul and Christine Hardy of Niceville. In lieu flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made I Mrs. Smith’s honor to Eglin Pet Welfare, PO Box 1914, Eglin AFB, FL 32542. Visitation and funeral services will take place in Braintree, Mass at a later date. Burial will be in Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree, Mass.
