I didn't realize there was a guestbook. I see Becca and Adam figured it out, which is great.

I wanted Kevin and Dane's extended family to know... Dane is one of the few people in my life who my thoughts always return to. In a world of people who are largely repeat versions of other people, Dane stood out as an entirely unique combination of so many characteristics and sensibilities.

He was always a person who related to people- intimately and personally. He has always been a model of that in my mind, and one I have clung to as my own life and career have evolved. He had a way of making you a part of his inner circle at any moment, and you always felt welcome there.

I was shocked and pretty horribly upset when I heard he had gone. I don't know the circumstances, but I had always- obviously foolishly- expected that one day Dane would just show up at my door with a big smile and a bottle of wine or something. And, regardless of him never having met my children, I know he would basically instantly become uncle Dane.

The fact that this will now not happen has me pretty firmly on the verge of tears whenever I think about it.

I miss him very much and I mourn for your loss.

All the best to the family.

-Chris

I just found out. I had many great conversations with Dane. He was always helpful in any way he could be, and was always a text or call away from helping me with a computer issue. I considered him more than a business associate; I considered him my friend. Peace be with you Dane.

Kevin,

I’m really sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, I had to find out about Dane’s passing through Facebook. I know it’s been a long time since we’ve last spoke, but I never forgot you guys. I hope you made a good life for yourself down in Florida. I wish you all the best and wished there was more comfort for you than just words. I always admired your strength and tenacity and I hope this will carry you through the tough times!

Love,
Becca

Kevin, I hope this finds you, and that you're still holding up.

I only just heard about this from Chris Russo, after his wife was doing some searching online and came across it. He sent me and a few others messages online about it. It's taken me the better part of a day to process this. I don't imagine I can comprehend how this has been for you, and I am so sorry that I couldn't have said something sooner.

I realize that, still living in Massachusetts, there's very little that I and the rest of us might be able to do. But, all the same, if there is ANYTHING that I or we can do, please don't hesitate to speak up.

Email me anytime. I'm always happy to talk.
-Adam

I have just learned of Dane's passing. This breaks my heart. He was so kind and helpful and full of energy and loved to talk. He helped my family and I with many computer issues and my nieces first computer is from Dane. He specifically chose/recommended it for her drawings and art. I am so very sorry he is gone. I hope his passing was peaceful and with as little pain as possible.
I will see you again on the other side Dane. The world is less bright without you in it. Praying for your family and Selene.

So very sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. No matter how much we love someone, we cannot control and or prevent “time and unforeseen occurrence” from befalling those we love. Within your grieving and recovery, may Gods’ mercy surround you. John 5:28,29 tells of a resurrection; ‘A better place.’

So sorry that Dane's life has come to an end on this Earth. What fun remembering the good times in years past when my family and I lived in Niceville. Praying for you, Kevin.
