June 6, 1972 ~ November 5, 2021 (age 49) 49 Years Old

Tribute

Daniel P. Jones, 49, of Miramar Beach, FL, went home to be with our Lord on Nov. 5, 2021.

He was born to Archie Preston Jones and Mary Hanchett Jones on June 6, 1972, in Dallas, Texas.

He will be remembered as a kind, gentle soul who helped many people, a caring son, a helpful, protective brother, and a loving father. Daniel graduated high school from Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights, Illinois. After graduation, he moved with his family to Niceville, Florida, graduated from Okaloosa Walton Community College, then graduated from the University of West Florida, ultimately earning his Masters of Business Administration in Finance. Daniel loved working with people and worked for several years with juvenile delinquents, then at Eglin Air Force Base, and ultimately started his own hospitality business. His favorite hobbies were fishing in the Gulf, watching the Miami Hurricanes football games, and spending time with his daughters. He was a devoted Christian and strove to provide his daughters with Christian education and to apply Biblical standards to political issues. He helped carry out the Great Commission by continually serving his neighbors and others, and helping people start their own businesses.

Daniel is survived by his beloved daughters, Elizabeth Marie, Christina Grace, Katherine Victoria, and Marissa Sophia Jones, his sister Jennie Jones and father Archie P. Jones of Marietta, Georgia.

A memorial service will be held on Nov. 13 at 10:00 am at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Valparaiso. A light reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall following the service.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Samaritan’s Purse, Rocky Bayou Christian School in Niceville, and Gateway Academy or Destin.
