David Bryson Koch, of Niceville, Florida went to be with his lord and savior just shortly after his 68th birthday.  Many Niceville residents knew Dave.  He would always walk down Partin, Cedar and College.  He was always smiling and waving, in his army green shorts and sporty reflector vests, alway having a positive attitude.  What many people did not know, is that David was the second son, of Virginia May (Langston) and William Jonas Koch, born August 4th 1952 in Virginia.  A college graduate from Georgia tech who went on to retire from the army reserve as chaplain (colonel) and also retire from the department of corrections after 18 years as chaplain and 5 years as a correctional officer. He became a christian while serving in Germany,  in 1974.  Davids faith was the foundation for everything in his life.  He was active in his community and his church.  David is preceded in death by his father William Jonas Koch, His brother William Radcliffe Koch, His mother Virginia Wynn and his stepfather Jacob Wynn.  Dave is survived by his nephews;  William and Misty Koch, their children; Will, Dylan and Kirsten.

Bobby and  Larrianne Koch, their children; Spencer, Mackenzie and Addison.  Services will be held at 2:00 pm on October 17th, at New hope Baptist church in Valparaiso Florida.
