George Turner Brown Jr.

George Turner Brown, Jr., age 74, longtime resident of Niceville, FL, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018. George was born in San Antonio, TX, to the late George and Genevieve Brown on June 30, 1944. He graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in 1962. In 1966, George graduated from U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY with a BS in Marine Engineering. George spent approximately 30 years in the U.S. Merchant Marine and retired as a Chief Engineer. He is survived by his wife, Darnell and their children, Joseph (Roslyn) Brown, Stephen (Jo Dawn) Brown, and Carin (Benny) Vines and their grandchildren, Liam, AnnaSophia, Cierra, Catherine, and Gavin, and his brother James Brown. George loved working on projects around the house as well as cooking and watching movies with his family. He had a great sense of humor, a huge heart, and will be deeply missed.
