Jack Herbert Hoover Mixon Sr.

Jack H Mixon Sr. age 85, a longtime resident of Niceville died at his home Monday, May 22, 2017 at 1:58 am. He was surrounded by his sons and family at his passing. He was born January 12, 1932.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Friedhoff Mixon; Mother, Agnes Spencer Whitlock; Father, Henry William Mixon Sr. and his brother, Henry Allen “Buck “Mixon.

He is survived by his sons, Frank “Mike” Mixon, Patrick Dale Mixon and Jack H. Mixon Jr.; daughter in law, Becky Whitehead Mixon, four Grand Children, Jack Alan Mixon, Johnathan Lee Mixon, Phillip Darrel Mixon, Aston Leasha Mixon and ten Great Grand Children; brother, Henry W. Mixon Jr. and sister,  Doris Rutherford.

Jack found the love of his life Frances at 25 and they were lifelong partners. He raised three sons in Mobile Alabama and ran several successful businesses. He came back to Niceville to care for his mother were he became a respected person in his neighborhood who always reflected the “old school” values he was raised with.

A visitation will be held at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 1-2pm with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 P.M.

Jack you will be missed by all who knew you.
