Judith Fensom Sanders

Judy was born on July 6, 1941 in Orlando, Florida to Elizabeth and Paul Fensom.  The family moved to Port St. Joe, Florida where she was raised along with her beloved younger brothers, Chesley Sherwood Fensom and James Ball Fensom with whom she shared many adventures at Mexico Beach. Judy attended Stephens College in Missouri, and Florida State University, in Tallahassee, Florida where she earned her Bachelors’ Degree in Elementary Education.  Judy’s dear friend and college roommate Brenda Sanders Sewell introduced her to her future husband Brian Cabot Sanders, who courted her for a full year until she agreed to marry him on October 12, 1963.  Brian and Judy moved to Orlando, where they had three children.  Judy and Brian resided in College Park, Florida where the family faithfully attended St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. Judy had a warm and generous heart.  She touched the lives of everyone she encountered with her smile and kind words.  She enjoyed serving in Orlando’s Junior League and the church Altar Guild and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames.  The family moved to the Florida Panhandle in the early 80’s.  Judy loved the spectacular view of the Bayou at Water Oaks and her neighbors.  Judy attended St. Jude’s Episcopal Church in Niceville, Florida.  Judy leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her husband of 57 years, Brian, her three children, Tristan (Silvia), Carter (Monika) and Liz (Brian Holmes); three grandchildren Tristan Wilson Sanders, Jr., Sophia Isabel Sanders, Colt Holmes, and her brothers Jim (Jan) and Ches (Darlene).  The Memorial service will be held at St. Jude’s Episcopal Church, 200 Partin Drive N, Niceville, Florida on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.
