Julie Lynn (Busby) Ebbighausen

Julie Lynn Busby Ebbighausen, age 41, of Shalimar, Florida passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021.  Julie was born in Memphis, Tennessee to John Wayne & Linda Colson Busby.  Julie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and was in the process of earning her Master’s degree.  A nurse, a teacher, and a mentor, Julie was the Department Head of Nursing at Okaloosa Technical College.  She cherished her Christian faith.  She was a loving and doting mother who always put her sons first.  Julie’s smile could light up any room with her charisma and love of people.  Julie loved being on the beach and would comment, “I just need to put my feet in the water”!

Julie is survived by her parents, John Wayne Busby and Linda Colson Busby; her sons, Owen Bridger and Adam Bridger; brother, Richard Lee Busby; uncles, Steve Colson and David (Kim) Colson; and a host of family, loved ones, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:00am at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home, in Niceville.  Guests are encouraged to honor Julie’s love of the beach by dressing in beach casual.  In lieu of flowers, please contact the family for details on donations in Julie’s name.
