Michael Wayne Troxell

1942 – 2020

Mike Troxell, 77, of Niceville, FL died peacefully on August 10, 2020.  Mike was born in Spartanburg, SC to the late Kenneth and Sarah Troxell.  He was preceded in death by his wife June, and sister Joanne.  Mike retired as a Chief Master Sergeant and Command Chief after serving 33 years in the Air Force, and then spent 20 years working for the NASCAR Industry.  He had a tremendous soul and a huge heart.  He loved telling his stories and spending time with family.

Survivors include children, Cliff Troxell and wife Holly; Susan Gray; Chad Troxell; Kim Lewis; and Cary Christian and wife Terri; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by brother Greg, and sisters Donna, Brenda, Norma and Sandy.

A memorial service for family only will be held on September 4, 2020 at the Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL.  In lieu of sending flowers, donations can be made to the ALS Association (www.alsa.org) in Mike’s name, and use suegray217@gmail.com for the recipient notification.
