Renate Eleonore Upton

Renate "Renee" Eleonore Upton was a caring and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was called home by our Lord and Savior on December 18th 2020 at the age of 64. She passed away in Niceville, Florida in her home. She is survived by her husband Samuel Upton, daughter Amanda Mowry, son-in-law Brian Mowry and grandson Michael Mowry. Her daughter, Sarah was there to greet her in heaven along with her mother and father. 

She was born in Stuttgart Germany on January 30th 1956. She was adopted at the age of one by her mother Eleonore Norman and her father Howard Norman. She fell in love early in life with her husband and was happily married for 45 years. Together they had 2 children. 

Renee' cultivated her love of helping others by pursuing nursing and worked in a nursing home and later in life, a daycare center. 

She loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her husband and children. Her grandchild, Michael brought her a lot of joy and countless smiles. She adored wolves and visiting the beach. She loved to make things with her hands and was very creative. Renee' could make anything beautiful. She enjoyed sharing her handmade gifts with others. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer, she shared this love by making gifts for other cancer patients lifting their spirits and supporting their healing. She was a fighter showing courage and strength as she battled breast cancer, lung cancer and other serious medical issues. She served as a bright light in the world and despite pain and personal losses, she always kept her sense of humor and her love of life and family. 

A private viewing for close family and friends will be held on 22 Dec 2020 at Emerald Coast Funeral Home in Ft. Walton Beach FL. She will be missed by all that knew her and will always be in our memories and our hearts.
