Robert D. Paley (1933 – 2021)
Robert Dean Paley age 88 of Niceville, Florida became another angel with the host of angels in the Kingdom of God on Thursday, September 30, 2021. He was born on January 6, 1933, in Collinsville, Pennsylvania, to Ralph and Kathryn Paley. He was Presbyterian by faith and an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Niceville, Florida. Soon after joining the church, Robert became a deacon, and he and his wife Norma also sang in the church choir for many decades. Robert attended elementary through high school at Lower Chanceford School in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics from Millersville State College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. During his working years, Robert was briefly a mathematics teacher before becoming a computer programmer and working on missile guidance simulations for the rest of his career. Robert had many good friends in the Niceville/Blue Water Bay area and he enjoyed hobbies such as playing bridge, chess, and he was an avid baseball fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his younger brother Donald, and his wife of nearly 57 years Norma, with whom he is now reunited. Survivors include his son, Dr. Mark Steven Paley of Huntsville, Alabama, who is very fortunate to have had such wonderful parents.
