Robert A. Strack, 99, of Niceville Florida passed away on March 5, 2020 at North Okaloosa Medical Center of complications from a heart attack.
Born in Washington DC May 7, 1920, he and his wife Connie retired to Niceville in 1987 from Kensington, MD and enjoyed 13 years together until her death from cancer in 2000. Bob worked as an accountant in the real estate management industry in Washington for almost 40 years, mainly for Wire Properties, Inc. the owner of a K Street office building and a large rental apartment complex in the city. He graduated from McKinley Tech High School and Benjamin Franklin University after his service in the 29th Division and 3 14th Infantry Regiment of the 79th Division of the US Army in Europe during WW Il. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Ann Strack, his wife, Constance (Slentz) Strack and his son Anthony B. Strack. He is survived by his son, Stephen G. Strack, (Suzon) of Queenstown, MD, his step-grandson, Christopher B. Blackistone
(Katie) and their family of Prince Frederick, MD his nephew Jeff Strack of Crestview, FL, and his nieces, Connie Hennett (Dennis) of Greer, SC and Sally Thompson (Wayne) of Townville, SC and their families, as well as his loving caretaker, Heide Conran (Mike) of Crestview, FL.
