Ronald Hugh Allen

Ronald H. Allen, age 73, of Niceville, FL, passed away on July 18, 2018 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Niceville, FL.  Ronald was born to parents, Armour and Allie Allen in Morgantown, West Virginia, and primarily grew up in Rocky Face, GA.  He attended Martha Berry College in Rome, GA where he earned his B.A., after active duty in the Air Force and doing two tours of duty in Southeast Asia.  He served more than 20 yrs. in the Air Force Reserve and later worked in Civil Service for the Air Force at Eglin AFB.  During this time he earned his M.A. degree.  His service to the Air Force spanned more than 48 yrs. (including as a private consultant) with the Air Force.  Ronald is predeceased by his father, Armer Allen. He and his wife, Rebecca, met at the Niceville Methodist Church in 2001, where he was an instructor for Divorce Recovery Workshops.  He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Becky) Allen; mother, Allie Mae (Watson) Allen-Payne; brother, Jeffrey Allen and wife Beth, of New Hope, AL.; daughter, Amber Allen of Crestview, FL; granddaughter, Seana Miller; step daughter, Leah Timmons of Cleveland, OH; step son, Lucas Morgan Timmons of Niceville, FL; step granddaughter, Lily Thomason of Cleveland, OH; and step grandsons, Titan and Ronin Prandish also of Cleveland, OH.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home followed with a Burial at Barrancas National Cemetery at 12:00 P.M. with military honors.  Donations may be made to SMILE TRAIN, INC.
